Traded in my 2014 CTS for the XT5. So far I have had no problems. On our last trip I averaged 33 mpg (not bad for this size of vehicle). Ride is smooth and quiet. Really like the amount of rear storage. My only concern is the Cadillac CUE system sometimes does not want to recognize my wife's Apple i-phone so we can use Pandora or I heart radio (guess that we are not up in the electronic generation).

It's piece of beautiful art, in and out.

Many experts extensively reviewed XT5 elsewhere. Other than systemic underrating/over-criticism that I noticed in several reviews, there is not much to add on my own. Except that NONE of them evaluated the feel of the car, which is beyond excellent. After having it for more than a year, I am always excited to get in and drive it. It drives smoothly like velvet and is easy to control like a toy. The all-by-wire steering and transmission are simply delightful. The design, colors, materials used, and ergonomics are superb. And the understated, tasteful luxury makes my driving experiences even more satisfying. To say that the horizon-red exterior with Sahara-beige leather interior are aesthetically pleasing is an understatement. The interior feels like a piece of beautiful art, but still a real car. And the exterior will never let it to be confused with your neighbor's yet-another-SUV; it stands out without even trying. All in all, it is a piece of beautiful art, in and out. I wish the experts who review cars for living have noticed that.

Turned in my old 2010 Lexus RX 350 for the new 2018 Cadillac and I am pleased. We demoed the new RX but the look turns me off, the front resembling a hoover vacuum or Pontiac Aztek. They did not do a good job with the design. So we went to Cadillac as I was impressed with the new designs overall with the brand, especially the front grille and lights. We bought the XT5 Prem-Luxury at apprx 60k with the 20 inch wheels.Very impressed with the features and comfort provided. The wife loves it, as it is very pleasing for the female driver, as it is a big stable, comfortable ride. Reliability will remain to be seen but so far it is a huge upgrade to the feel compared to the Lexus. I recommend this vehicle for those with 60k to spend, definitely get the upgrades.
