The Honda CR-Z was a hybrid-powered sports coupe. The automaker developed the tiny two-seater as a mashup of the Honda Insight’s green hybrid drivetrain and the Honda CRX’s nimble performance, resulting in the first mass-produced hybrid sports coupe. Honda produced the CR-Z from 2011 to 2016. Stylish, sporty, and a fuel-sipper, the two-seat CR-Z offered 122 hp and a fuel economy rating of 37 mpg in combined driving. You could even get a manual transmission instead of the continuously variable automatic transmission. A 2013 update focused on design enhancements and upgraded performance, including a new on-demand boost button. Honda refreshed the 2016 model with revised styling and more standard tech features but discontinued the CR-Z shortly after.
