the C2 is really a GT...
Sunday, October 27, 2019
I've been driving Porsche's for over forty years and have owned numerous variants. Bought this 2013 991 used after selling my trouble free 997 with 103k miles on it. The sticker on this base 991 was 125k, it had everything on it including my beloved ducktail. It had 13k miles on it... I paid 68k. It now has 19k miles hence the review. First, the car is much more of a cruiser, as in GT. Not as visceral as the 997 or 993 but more refined. Quick and nimble but you're still firmly planted in all driving situations... The interior is more in keeping with a pricey sports car vs. the 997. One complaint on the 2013, no back up camera. Seats, radio, auto windscreen, its a ragtop, all well done. I've road tripped this car over 2500 miles driving seven hours on the long days... no real driver fatigue and a pleasure to drive... No mechanical issues... most Porsches don't break, although I had a 996 C4 that suffered the dreaded ims bearing... but no fear here. Find a low mileage used 991... and enjoy the ride

Middle Age Obsession

Sorry, but I won't be selling DeBeast anytime soon. It is a metallic black on black in color with raised red stitching & red dials & red shoulder restraints, 991 design model, 4S Cabriolet. Everything works. It has hands-free phone & Bluetooth. I have made some aftermarket modifications. I put an Alman Brothers tune on the stereo system and feel like a teenager again. It just eats up the road and is the best, by far, of any vehicle I have ever owned. It will perform with the best, but can be driven every day. And it will go as fast as I will ever want to. If you need to put distance between you and that truck on the Interstate ramp, it will scoot. The sports suspension system is solid. I have the PDK transmission, but I love it. Heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a great adventure.

I purchased a new 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet and have loved every second of ownership! It's handling, style and performance is awesome. Driving along the ocean with the top down is pure heaven. It's been trouble free since day 1, with all scheduled maintenance performed by Porsche. It is definitely not the lowest cost of ownership, but it's a Porsche!!!
