The 5 Most Powerful Dodge Charger Models Ever Made
The muscle car has been on a horsepower roll since 2015.

Since its introduction in the 1960s, the Dodge Charger has morphed from a sporty two-door coupe to a family-friendly four-door sedan, but it didn't lose its muscle-car roots during that transition. It remains a power-chaser, having debuted the highest-output offshootswithin the past decade. Here are the five Chargers with the most ponies.

2022-2023 Dodge Charger SRT Jailbreak
807 Horsepower
Dodge never equipped its full-size performance sedan with the 840-hp engine out of the Challenger SRT Demon, but the Hemi supercharged 6.2-liter V8 under the hood of the Charger SRT Jailbreak isn't a bad consolation prize. The SRT Jailbreak boasts a tire-smoking 807 horses, making it the most powerful Charger model Dodge has ever offered from the factory. In addition to unlocking all that power, Jailbreak models grant access to exclusive customizations.
The SRT Jailbreak was a standalone model for 2022, its introduction year. For 2023, the high-output package is standard on the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

2021-2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye
797 Horsepower
The Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye arrived for the 2021 model year with an 80-hp advantage over the contemporary Hellcat. That meant a total of 797 ponies from a reworked Hemi supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that featured a larger supercharger (2.7 liters versus 2.4), strengthened internals, and a 6,500-rpm rev limit (300 more than the standard Hellcat).

717 Horsepower
The first Hellcat, with its shocking 707 hp, was just the opening salvo for the Charger Hellcat. As new big-power special editions came out, you might be forgiven for not realizing that a few years into production, Dodge upped the horsepower rating by 10, to 717 ponies.

707 Horsepower
Like the Challenger SRT Hellcat, the Charger SRT Hellcat burst onto the scene for the 2015 model year with a 707-hp version of Dodge's Hemi supercharged 6.2-liter V8. At the time, that was enough firepower to make it the world's fastest four-door sedan, with a claimed top speed of 204 mph.

2015-2018 Dodge Charger SRT 392 and 2015-2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack
485 Horsepower
Perhaps best described as a diet Hellcat, the Charger SRT 392 provided many of its brawnier sibling's benefits — including an adaptive suspension, six-piston Brembo brakes, 275-mm-width tires, standard leather upholstery, and Dodge's embedded SRT Performance Pages app — but employed a 485-hp naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V8 instead of the 707-hp mill.
Tying the SRT 392 for fifth place on the Charger horsepower charts is the R/T Scat Pack, which also debuted for 2015 with 485 horsepower but cost a fair bit less by making many amenities optional. Though the model has since dropped the R/T from its name, it is still on sale today and offers many of the original's features, such as the 6.4-liter V8 from the SRT 392 and exterior styling cues borrowed from the Hellcat, including an integrated hood scoop.
